The High Falls on Pigeon River hike is spectacular, especially during the winter. It's right next to the Canadian Border, an hour and 15 minute drive.

Grand Marais has plenty of great restaurants. This one is our 'go to' because you can always get a table. Probably because the name does not describe the place well. They have great wood fired pizzas, a fabulous upstairs deck, and cozy inside dining when it's cold.
