Beaches
this is a nice beach if you want to enjoy a long stretch of sandy beach with a dock you can jump off of.
This is one of the most popular beach spots in Vernon so it does get very busy in the summer.
parking can be a bit tricky, you have to park across the street off of Husband road and take the rainbow cross walk to the beach.
there is a little food stand right on the beach as well as the rail trail café down the street for food and drinks. Alexander's pub is a sit down restaurant/pub serving classic pub food and alcohol.

Kal Beach

this beach is a bit further from our place. it is on Lake Okanagan so the water is a little cooler. lots of ducks and geese at this beach so the water can sometimes be a bit murkier. there is lots of parking, a big grassy area and a playground at this beach. as well as bathrooms.
if you keep going down the road, you'll find lakeshore park/beach.
and further down Tronson, there is paddlewheel park/beach. we like this one because the water is a bit nicer and it also has a playground, lots of shade. Sand at Paddlewheel has lots of coal in it so prepare to get kind of dirty from it.

nice quick hike up for a gorgeous view of 2 lakes and Vernon and surrounding area! it's really close to our house, if you don't mind the extra walk you can walk from our place up Middleton way to reach a the trail head.

Ellison is very easy to access as you can drive all the way in and park in the day parking lot. from there you can walk down to the beaches, go for a short hike or check out the rock climbing areas! there is a playground in the camping area as well.

Ellison is very easy to access as you can drive all the way in and park in the day parking lot. from there you can walk down to the beaches, go for a short hike or check out the rock climbing areas! there is a playground in the camping area as well.
we love visiting Davison's orchard. its very family friendly. their farm goods are exceptional and pies are a must have. they have a nice café you can get soups and sandwiches and sit on the patio to enjoy the scenery.
in the summer and fall they have tractor tours with apple picking, pumpkin picking and information about the farm.
