When driving up from Springville, Pierpoint Bar and Restaurant is a great spot to stop for lunch or just a drink before continuing your drive up to Ponderosa. There’s a small general store as well. Nice outdoor patio in the summertime.

Giant Sequoia Hike
One of the the easiest and most accessible hikes to see giant sequoias in the area. There's a parking area with restrooms and a $10 parking fee (cash). The trail is paved and therefore wheelchair and stroller accessible.

Enjoy a short hike to the fifth largest tree in the world, the Stagg Tree. It’s the largest tree by volume outside of the Sequoia National Park and you will get to visit this quiet part of the forest without any tourist masses. Lots of scenic views to see on this short and easy hike. Great for children too.

Beautiful hike along the creek through a Giant Sequoia grove. Part of the trail was damaged in a recent wildfire but there’s still a lot of beauty left. Ask me for detailed directions before heading there.
