10 minutes drive:
This is the biggest outdoor museum in Europe. You can literally walk back in time and experience what it was like in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. When you buy a ticket it lasts a full 12 months so there is time to revisit. It is open all year round but has reduced hours during January to March so it is worth checking. It is busiest during the summer but they have events throughout the year including Halloween and the run up to Christmas.

Walks
This is a wonderful walk, you will need decent walking shoes but it is a relatively easy walk along the oldest railway line. It is 10 minutes drive and has a tea shop at the end and a pub across the road (Causey Arch).
