Falassarna is a long sandy beach with wonderful sunsets. It has been voted for Best Beach of Greece. There are several beaches in the Falassarna bay: There are many exits to the beach. I prefer the last one just before the road is being destroyed. There is a snack bar named Orange blue. It has a really grate view. The sunset at Falassarna is amazing, you need to enjpoy it! There is a tavern named Spilios ,where you can eat traditional food (meat food or seafood) with grate sunset view.

Elafonissi beach is one of the prettiest beaches in the west coast of Crete and Pinkish sand, very shallow water and really crowded till 16:00 when the tourist buses depart. This is the time to enjoy the beach of Elafonissi.Wait till the sunset and have your camera loaded and ready. Don't forget!!! The best part of the place is to pass to the island (you can - the water is not so much) and walk. At the back side of the island there are no umbrellas but the sand is pink and the water is better than the classic side where more tourists go. So walk for 10 minutes it is worth it!! This is another favourite place!!
3.1 Kedrodasos (i.e. cedar forest) is an amazing beach, located 1km east of the famous Elafonissi lagoon. The beach is filled with juniper trees (mistakenly confused with cedars) and sanddunes, reminiscent of tropical Lebanese beaches. These are the small twisted junipers (juniper species are Juniperus oxycedrus subsp. macrocarpa and Juniperus phoenicea). If you ever visit the beach, you should note that the trees are very fragile and need respect. The cedar grove covers a big area of about 110 acres and is a magnificent place. There are 2 ways to go there. Before you arrive to Elafonissi there is a road on your left which approach the beach. You need to walk for about 500-700m.The other way is to follow the E4 path which connects Elaffonisi and Kedrossasos.
The normal way to go to Elafonissi is from Kissamos (before arriving to the village you need to turn on your left, there are signs.)My advice is to use this way to go but you can use another way back. On your way back you will meet a sign to Kefali village on your left hand. Follow this road and you will have the opportunity to drive across the West Crete!! It is amazing especially on the afternoon. There is a small village you will meet named Sfinari. You can stop there for food to Captain Feidias fish tavern. Fresh daily fish from an expert!
On your way back from Elafonissi or Keddrossasos you can also stop for a dinner-lunch at Glykeria tavern. Great view, great food, great atmosphere. If you use the same way back you also stop at Elos!!! There is a really nice traditional tavern there and olive oil products.

Chania tips
CHANIA
Always the first thing you hear about Chania is the Venetian Harbour, the old port, the lighthouse, the amazing central market, the narrow shopping streets and waterfront restaurants. It is beautiful - that is to say much of the Chania you will want to see is clustered close to the harbour - old buildings, museums, churches and crafts shops (some with genuinely interesting and sometimes local, products on offer).Food is offered in great variety and sometimes great similarity - there are many restaurants and also cafes, at which to reflect upon the experiences of places you have just ex
