There’s a popular bumper sticker that you’ll probably see on a few locals cars it says “don’t change Topanga… let Topanga change you“. In the years I have spent in this amazing community, there is a depth & generosity of spirit you simply won’t find anywhere else in LA County. With that in mind, I find it’s always best to greet everyone with a smile, hold the door for strangers and invite conversation with the local folks who hang out with their sketchpads or poetry books in front of the cafés and shops. They may seem a little offbeat, but they are precisely what makes this place so special.

Spearheaded by the late great Will Geer; a proper drama legend and all around eccentric, Theatricum is an outdoor theater and Shakespearean gem. This place will transport you to another time and place. We mortal groundlings can do nothing but gaze, in awe of the brilliant dramatic performances and the beauty of Topanga’s rugged perfection….all at once.
