Close to Bend and you can do hiking in morning and dine at old Mill in Bend where you can find plenty of places to eat, drink or shop.

The most exciting drive you will ever experience. So many snow covered mountain views, lakes, hiking trails, water sport opportunities...
Reminder:
1) Bring a coat because it gets cold in mountain area.
2) Sunblock and water sport gear/cloth
3) make sure you do the research prior drive up there,
4) and always have a cell recharger because you will take so many pictures and have a wonderful time. No Cell signal in the area so bring a printed map and stay on road and trails.

Paulina Peak Observation Site
There are two lakes and a huge Big Obsidian Flow that few store high! Drive up to the mountain, where you can see the Big obsidian flow/lava flow, two lakes when the road is open. Many activities you can do: water spots, hiking trails, hot springs, fishing, camping ground… wild animals in the woods! Friendly reminder - Dogs must be on leashes to protect them from becoming wild animals' dinner. And bring a jacket it gets cold and windy sometimes.
It is a small town full of small shops, and a trail up in the mountain. We don't spend much time shopping, but we do drive to Black Butt and Black Butt trail where is more fun. So do your research before visit.

This Sahalie fall will be one of your favorite hike and trip in OR. Easy hike trails, go earlier to find parking. And Clearwater resort is nearby you can stop by too.

One of the iconic places you must visit in OR. I would plan a day trip to salt creek waterfall and this State park in one trip. Plan ahead: Bring enough water, snack, hiking gears, printed map, phone recharger and clothes. Have fun !
