Sightseeing

It is a wonderful place, with open spaces for the kids and a a picnic, amazing views, indoor armouries if it is raining, a lovely coffee shop and it is free. We go about 4 times a year and there is always something new to discover. It's a 3 minute drive or you can walk there in about 20 minutes. Never too busy and a real hidden gem.

Full of history.. Check out the church... It is beautiful and they have lovely welcoming services. There is a coffee shop next to the church and a van selling sweet things. The walk arou d the castle is amazing when blustery as it really clears your head..the sea views are amazing when calm and when rough, and the lite beach is great for dog walks. Pop into the cormorant toofor really good food and ale.

This place is so much fun! Kids love it, grandparents remember some of the older boats... Just a smashing whole day out... Or 2! T here are many attractions but you really need two days if you are going to do the boat trip too... And I would advise you book the boat trip and anything else online too. Really busy in the summer, and the winter victoriana Market is amazing. There are displays and activities throughout the year, and you can see the Mary Rose, Victory, Warrior and many other shops besides. Make some old fashioned rope, or e put through your paces.

A beautiful walk in all seasons. Open every day and free to visit but there are car parking charges. Dogs can go and there is a visitor centre and shop. They have activities and a yearly show in August this year (22). BBQs are to hire but must be booked. Located on the South Downs and just off the A3 at Horndean. Look at the website for more details... An absolute must if you have your dog with you.

This is an amazing experience and the view is incredible... Make sure to take your camera. It cost £35.6 million to build and stands at 170 metres High. It has 3 viewing platforms at 100,105 and 110m High, and the lower one has a glass part to it. It was massively over budget when built in the 90's and cost the tax payers in Portsmouth £11.1 million.... Really contravertial at the time. £13.95 per person (as at April 22)

Great shopping and dining out😊 20 minute drive from Skylight View, or 10 minute walk to Portchester Station and 5 stops to Portsmouth Hard so often quicker in the summer season when parking at Gunwharf is busy.
