Winston-Salem
Wake Forest University, Winston Salem State University, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, RJ Reynolds, Truist Stadium Baseball Field, The Innovation Quarter just to name a few places that have made Winston Salem a destination city.
Conveniently located in the Piedmont triad area of North Carolina. There is an abundance of Restaurants, Sports Bars, Shopping areas and Night life hotspots to be found in Winston-Salem. Several downtown restaurant's are open late at night especially on weekends that offer a variety of dining options. Some of these venues also have live music and events during the weekends. Bowman Gray Stadium Racetrack is one of the oldest tracks on the NASCAR circuit. It too can be found in Winston Salem. The Carolina Classic Fair runs from Sept. 29 thru Oct 8 on the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds. During the colder months Winston Salem also is home to the Winston Salem Thunderbirds Federal hockey team.
Travel to and from the Landing Zone comes with ease. Located directly off of I- 74 which branches directly off of I-40 either east or west depending on your route of travel onto I-74 . Coming from the airports, Greensboro-Piedmont Triad Airport (KPTI) is a short drive away 22 minutes off of I-40 East from Selda Drive, where Smith Reynolds Airport (KINT) is located 15 Minutes north of Selda Drive off of Highway 52 North. Charlotte Douglas International Airport (KCLT) is roughly 1 hour 30 minutes from Selda Drive location. All 3 airports have rental car agencies at them .

Tanglewood also offers soft golf course for the whole family to play on. While Tanglewood has an equestrian center that offers guided horse tours as well as paddle boats, an aquatic center for the little ones and miles of walking trails. But what also put Tanglewood on the map is the annual Festival of Lights display. With over 80 light displays within the park itself, the dates for the Festival of Lights runs from Nov 11 through Jan 1. On the weekends expect longer than average wait times. You will be in your own automobile for he duration and prices vary depending on time of week.
