Sedona - 1.51 hours from Casita. Having lived in Sedona for 11 years (1980-1991), this is one of my favorite towns. It has become very touristy but is well worth seeing. There are hikes, restaurants, art galleries, spiritual gatherings, etc.
Architecture is representative of Tlaquepaque in Mexico. Beautiful & great for walking around shops & high-end galleries.

This is a beautiful structure (church) built in 1956. The Holy Cross sits high atop the red rocks with beautiful views. This is definitely a tourist spot but is well worth the drive and trek due to the beauty and history.

This hike is off of Dry Creek Road in West Sedona. It's crowded, steep in several spots, but when you get to the top, it's worth it! Hike in and hike out.

This is the best deal in Sedona. Within walking distance to enjoy sunsets and breakfast at the Airport Mesa Grill, while watching the small planes take off and land on top of the mountain mesa, amongst the beautiful views.

Jerome, AZ - This a small funky artsy town located about 25 minutes south of Sedona. It was a popular mining town for copper & silver at the turn of the 20th century. After the depression in the 1930's it became a ghost town. The local people there have revitalized it and it is now a great place to visit for wine cellars, restaurants, old-time saloons, art galleries and boutique shops.
