Whiskey Row is full of some of Prescott's oldest history. This street is named Whiskey Row because of the large number of saloons in one place. Whiskey Row developed after a fire in July of 1900 destroyed the entire block. When reconstructed, there was an inordinate amount of bars rebuilt in the area. At one point the block hosted a total of 40 saloons.

It is a small lake with 15 acres of water surface, but features tons of family fun with park recreation and picnic facilities. The lake is small but has great views and perfect waters for canoeing and kayaking and also features a great hiking trail. It is open all year.

During certain times of the year, peregrine falcons nest on the rugged basalt crags of Thumb Butte. There may be closures in place to protect their habitat—please obey all posted signs.

On June 30, 2013, nineteen members of the Granite Mountain Hotshot crew died working to protect their communities from a large, yet unpredictable, wildfire.
The 20th member of their crew, Brendan McDonough, was assigned away from the fire and was the sole survivor.
The 7-mile single-loop round-trip trail -- roughly 3.5 miles each way -- ventures through the Weaver Mountains and down to the fatality site, which now serves as a memorial to the men.
