A Tucson MUST-visit! A lovely drive from Starlight (approx 20 mins through Saguaro Park W out/over Picture Rocks Rd), or double-up on your must-dos by simply taking Silverbell to W Sweetwater up and over Gates Pass toward Old Tucson and on to the Desert Museum (En route you'll pass Christopher Columbus Park off Silverbell) with its 2 large ponds with the Catalinas as a dramatic backdrop). The Desert Museum is a gem -- bring your water bottle and budget 2-4 hours to really take it in. There is a cafe as well as cafeteria/restaurant. The cave is wonderful...the creatures are stunning, and the grounds are beautiful!

Historic, copper and silver mining town with galleries, restaurants, shops, etc. Eclectic, quaint locale approximately 100 miles away. If you're going to Tombstone, Bisbee is a great way to round out the day trip. Contessa Cantina is a great call for Mexcian food (some have said it's the "best salsa ever" -- and they have a dedicated vegan section on the menu)!

If you're going to Tombstone, Bisbee is a great way to round out the day trip. Fabulous vegan menu options ~ beautiful murals. I confess, this is my go-to for very casual, large, healthy, tasty food (and great coffees, too -- most of the menu can be veganized but not all of the menu is vegan). My TOP-2 Tucson pick :)
