This little visited wildlife area is for those who would be charmed by The County's most remote and untamed peninsula. Steve and I were thrilled to have an eagle fly within inches of Steve's head then come to rest in a nearby tree. (The eagle not Steve's head.)

If you enjoy gardening, interesting decorating ideas and lots of charm - Carson's is a must visit. Whatever the season, you will always find something of interest. There are even some friendly goats to pet. In the warmer months you can stop for lunch.

There used to be an elegant, first class hotel at this location built in l870. It was a hot spot for visitors . Unfortunately times change and it closed in l972. The main building was destroyed by fire in l983.
There are walking trails in the woods and an incredible flat rock shoreline to explore. It is a local treasure all year round,
It is part of the Sandbanks Provincial Park.
Bring a chair, a good book and set yourself up on the flat rocks for a relaxing afternoon.

This little gem has great short hiking trails, a large picnic area and an interesting shoreline and beach. The high limestone bluff offers a panoramic view of Prince Edward Bay. It is a short hike down to the lower shoreline defined by a cobble stone beach. The beach is small in size but the swimming is great. There is an extensive wetlands behind the beach. You may be lucky and get to see a harmless water snake sunning itself on the rocks or heading out for a shoreline swim.

3625 County Road 13This little gem has great short hiking trails, a large picnic area and an interesting shoreline and beach. The high limestone bluff offers a panoramic view of Prince Edward Bay. It is a short hike down to the lower shoreline defined by a cobble stone beach. The beach is small in size but the swimming is great. There is an extensive wetlands behind the beach. You may be lucky and get to see a harmless water snake sunning itself on the rocks or heading out for a shoreline swim.

440 North Beach RdA lesser visited beach in The County. It has a beautiful sandy beach and the view is stunning - particularly if you are still there when the sunsets. It is a perfect for a nice long stroll down the sandy beach. If you are a swimmer - always be conscious of the undertow. It can be dangerous.
To visit this park you have to leave The County. However, it is worth a trip to the Brighton area if you are staying for more than a couple of days. It is a great family favourite to wade way out in the water on flat rock. it is a great family swimming spot. Everyone enjoys looking for the perfect fossil.

If you are a foodie you will enjoy the opportunity to purchase a w.b. steak or maybe a w.b salami. Our grandson like the w.b. ice cream. In Europe it is considered the best milk for certain cheeses, i.e. mozzarella and feta.
