While Edgar Allan Poe never actually lived in this home, it was a historically appropriate place to move items from the Southern Literary Messenger building (where Poe began his writing career) when it was slated to be torn down by the city, circa 1905. Just down the road in Forst Hill Park we have the south of the James Market. This is only on Sundays There are lots of food trucks and other vendors. However, you cant head there without getting a bagel or a donut! Just ask the bartender if they’re able to put it on one of the many TVs, if it’s not on already. Location: 2416 W Cary St (Carytown)
As the name suggests, Home Team Grill is a sports bar first. With over a dozen TVs, tons of high-top tables, a large patio, and bucket specials, it’s a popular spot for sports fans of all kinds. Be prepared for standing-room-only as large crowds gather around the bar during football games on Sunday but it only adds to the excitement!
