Gunstock is very popular for skiing and hiking enthusiasts. Great place with an abundance of hiking trails. Located 20 minutes away from where you will be staying.

This is a hidden gem that we found and have loved ever since. There are numerous trails and hikes and very few people. Situated in the Belknap mountain range, it is 3500 acres of forest, lakes and mountains. There are six mountain peaks located on the property: Mt. Klem, Mt. Anna, Mt.Shannon, Lookout Knob, Goat Pasture Hill. It also has several lakes: Sunset, Manning and Eileen. Sunset and Manning are public bodies of water while Eileen is owned by the reservation. Several points of interest exist across the property including the site of a 19th century iron mine, a plane wreck from 1973 and a quarry site from the 1800s. The reservation is surrounded by remote wilderness on most sides with hiking trails leading to Gunstock Mountain and Belknap Mountain State Forest. Several ponds, 4 swamps,caves, rock faces and many hills. Well worth the visit!
