Sightseeing

Interesting walk through the cobbled streets of Polop village, past the beautiful church and up a winding path to the Castle. On route information boards tell the history of the Jews coming to live in the area for safety. Lots of Spanish tour companies take visitors into this historic village to look at the old spanish buildings and see the views around the surrounding valley and up to the Sierra Bernia mountain range.

Parks & Nature

The Fonts del Algar or Fonts de L'Algar as it is also known is a series of naturally occurring waterfalls which are only 15km from Benidorm. You can explore the waterfalls and pools at your leisure as they are open from morning until dusk. Walk along beside the river, swim (at your own risk) in the rock pools, dangle your feet in the flowing water, enjoy your picnic or find a quiet spot to sit under the pine trees.

How long does it take to view the garden? It depends. If you take the main paths, one hour to one and a half hours but to fully appreciate it two hours. On average we have between 30.000 to 40.000 visitors a year, many of them have been before and return with friends.

You're going to be spoilt for choice here and the kids will love it. A dolphinarium, parrot show, flamingos, turtles, sea lions, a bat cave (but no Robin), penguins, a children's park, and a galleon. That's right, a galleon, and from inside it you can enjoy a different view of what's going on from under the water.
