Every night of the week is something different from live music to karaoke. The portion size is huge and there is a good variety of items to choose from off the menu. Their cornbread is amazing!

One of my favorite places to eat in an older and more historic part of Richmond. It has a sports bar setting on the inside but when the weather is nice, the outdoor patio is the best place to enjoy the breeze while you eat. This is a spot where people who know about it are the locals so it typically doesn't get packed as a chain restaurant would.

HANDS DOWN BEST CHINESE FOOD IN RICHMOND! I only get the shrimp and broccoli with fried rice but I never see this place empty. I usually order for pick up since they don't deliver. The food is so good.

McLean's is a breakfast spot that has a long history in Richmond. They only serve breakfast food and can become quite packed depending on time of day. The portion sizes are fairly large. It you are breakfast person, this will definitely become one of your favorite places to eat while visiting Richmond.

Cuban food at its finest! You walk in thinking you stepped off the plane in Havana. Cuban music fills the air and you can't help but dance in your seat.

I love this place. You can choose to dine in or take out. On a beautiful day in Richmond, Garnett's offer you the option of a picnic basket. They will pack you a basket of whatever you would like to order, as well as a blanket and you may choose to eat anywhere in the city--AS LONG AS YOU RETURN THE BASKET! Opens at 11AM daily.

The Virginia War Memorial built in 1955, was originally designed as a World War II and Korean War Memorial for Virginians who had made the ultimate sacrifice in battle. There are public bathrooms on site however the bathrooms are only open when the exhibit is open. This site is FREE-no admission fee! Open 9AM-4PM Monday through Saturday and 12PM-4PM on Sunday. The shrine (beautifully lite at night) is open from 5AM-12AM daily. From this memorial, if your back is to the memorial, you will stand on an amazing hill with the Governor's Mansion to your left and Brown's Island in front of you with a view of the James River as far as the eye can see.

Short Pump is often referred to as the Tyson's Corner of Richmond. If you are from Northern Virginia you will understand this reference. It is an outdoor mall with many restaurants on the grounds such as Maggiano's, Cheesecake Factory, and Boathouse. From Dick's Sporting Goods to Kate Spade, this mall has pretty much everything either on the grounds or in the surrounding area (Regal Cinemas, Ice Skating/Laser Tag, Target, Wegman's, Hobby Lobby, etc.)
