Food scene
The classically trained chef is a local personality- renowned in the woods for the best cooking on and off of the mountain. A full bar full of concoctions add to the mirth. Update March 2023. Sadly, the Ponderosa Lodge was lost due to a propane leak which led to a fire. There’s a huge loss for the community but the one upside is that Clark, the chef I previously mentioned, is doing meals for guests on a private basis. If you’re interested, feel free to contact me and I’ll arrange it. Now that we have no lodge all perishables must be brought up the mountain with you. It’s with a heavy heart. I update this guidebook.
