Cala Conta has fabulous views of the little islands dotted near Ibiza's coastline, beautiful turquoise waters and several different areas to explore, making it one of the best beaches on the island.

For many, Cala Conta needs no introduction. For those who’ve not yet experienced her crystal shores, you’re in for a very special treat. Cala Conta has fabulous views of the little islands dotted near Ibiza's coastline, beautiful turquoise waters and several different areas to explore, making it one of the best beaches on the island.
A tiny rocky peninsula that's been nicknamed Atlantis for decades, this remarkable place is only accessible on foot (around a 30-minute descent) from the parking spot by Torre des Savinar . Its actually a former quarry, but it's easy to see how hippies viewed the oblique cut-stone outlines as the remains of a lost civilisation. Visitors have added Maya and Hindu-style carvings to the rocks, and cliff jumpers plunge into the deep, cobalt water.
Above Atlantis is a small cave , a place of sanctuary where people leave offerings (trinkets and food). It's home to a remarkable Buddha image said to have been etched by a Japanese hermit decades ago. The Buddha has recently been restored.

Its floodlit bastions visible from across southern Ibiza, Dalt Vila is a fortified hilltop first settled by the Phoenicans and later occupied by a roster of subsequent civilisations. Tranquil and atmospheric, many of its lanes are accessible only by foot. It's mostly a residential area, but also contains several key cultural sights. The best way to explore is to enter via the Portal de ses Taules gateway and wind your way uphill: all lanes lead to the cathedral-topped summit.
