Beautiful gardens in La Canada Flintridge about 15 minutes away. Great place to relax and take a stroll. Their holiday events are really fun (Carved near Halloween and Enchanted during Christmas time).

A great hike about 30 minutes away to a waterfall. If the lower parking lot is open you need a Forest Adventure pass to park there. It's only $5 and can be bought at many places nearby: https://www.fs.usda.gov/detailfull/r5/passes-permits/recreation/?cid=STELPRDB5181410&width=full
If you park up at the top along the highway in the upper lots you don't have to pay but it's an additional 3/4 mile down a steep hill.
