The original Venice had many canals but most were filled in over the years to accommodate automobile traffic. Head down Pacific Avenue to Washington. Turn left, then turn left on Dell. You will come across many charming canals and fabulous homes.
Marina del Rey also has a harbor from which you can take a variety of day- and sunset cruises. Burton Chase Park is a great place to picnic and watch the boats go by.
