A super short, but somewhat chilly walk! Head up Highland Lakes road out of Deloraine (follow East Parade out of Deloraine past the showgrounds, turn left to head up to the Great Lake and keep going until you hit the sign for Pine Lake). Incredible views but be mindful of driving carefully in inclement weather.

Personally I LOVE this walk! It's a great 10km round walk, you can picnic at the top as you watch water cascade down the falls. OR in chilly months, you may find the falls are completely frozen. For more info on the walk, you can head to Waterfalls of Tassie or this link here via Parks & Wildlife https://parks.tas.gov.au/things-to-do/60-great-short-walks/meander-falls

A "must see" "must go" place - be wary there is limited phone reception here but a very easy, family friendly area that also has BBQ facilities for a nice family picnic after your walk. There are multiple access points to view the falls and the walk is fairly easy, although steep at some sections. It's one of the falls that "everyone talks about" because its so close to town and so easily accessible.

The Great Western Tiers Sculpture Trail

The Great Western Tiers community is alive with a range of characters, many of which are depicted in the sculptures that line Deloraine's main street Emu Bay Road, the Deloraine riverbank and further afield in surrounding towns of Mole Creek and Meander. Why not pick up a brochure from the Great Western Tiers Visitor Centre at the top of town and head down Emu Bay Rd, around the riverbank and back up the other side of the street, visiting local cafes and galleries that take your fancy along the way. The sculptures certainly are worth a look! Copied from: https://www.greatwesterntiers.net.au
