This is a good spot for breakfast and brunch! A lot of options for smoothies, juices, eggs, vegan options, great coffee and pancakes!

If you want a real Mexican breakfast try El Nicho. The “huevos rancheros” and “chilaquiles” are always a good option! In addition, they serve delicious Belgian waffles!

Merkadito Del Mar is a good local restaurant that serves Mexican seafood like ceviches, fish tacos and shrimp burritos. All of these in front of the beach! Great place for lunch with a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea.

Great spot for fresh fish dishes or a seafood pasta with a wide variety of wines. This one is also in front of the beach, so the views are very pleasant. :)

Punta Corcho is probably my favorite restaurant for dinner. It’s located at a terrace where you can also see the ocean. They are specialized in wood-fire seafood dishes. Lobster pizza and ginger martinis are a must!

This is a one of a kind experience! The coral reef of Riviera Maya is the second largest of the world! You can take the tour at the pier of Puerto Morelos located in front of the lighthouse at the center of the town. Local guides take you to the reef to snorkel and swim among beautiful corals, lots of different fish, lobsters, stingrays, starfish and even turtles if you’re lucky! :) Life vests are mandatory.

I personally love this place because you can experience 3 different types of cenotes (two open and one underground). There are guided tours, zip lines, snorkel and if you’re hungry afterwards they have local Mayan cuisine. Cochinita Tacos are the best!

Also located in “Ruta de Los cenotes” nearby. Every cenote is unique and enjoyable so there is always a good idea to visit them!

If you’re traveling with kids this cenote is perfect. They have many activities like zip lines, ATV’s and a Mayan chewing gum museum. My nephew loves here!

Unico is a beautiful spot for a relaxing day at the beach. They have lounge chaises, umbrellas, bathroom and a pool! They serve very good food like ceviches and hamburgers. Everything you need for a perfect beach day!

They have affordable prices if you want to rent a car. It’s located at the center of downtown Puerto Morelos and a good tip might be to deliver the car directly at the airport when you’re leaving. This way you won’t have to pay a taxi ride to the airport ($30 USD approximately).

If you want to visit a lot of places and have the freedom to move whenever you like renting a car good be a great idea. On the other hand, if you prefer not to drive, taking taxi is cheap and easy in Puerto Morelos.
