Open seasonally (~May-mid Oct)The view is beautiful, shop is fun to peruse for local crafts, and apple picking is always a great time. We recommend bringing a picnic if you’re going around lunchtime, because they don’t typically have food available (outside of ice cream, fudge and local treats).

Don’t miss the Sunday brunch! The Grits, and The Big Cheesy Biscuit might change your life. Large portions, great service, reasonable prices. We’ve heard the steak dinner and cocktails are also amazing (go find out for us?) just note, they aren’t open seven days/ week.

Drive an hour to Hot Springs, work up an appetite on the trail, then get lunch at a local spot in town. This trail is a 1.8 mile loop that has pretty views of the French Broad River and the town of Hot Springs. Follow the riverside path upstream until you see white blazes for the Appalachian Trail, then follow orange blazes marking the Lover's Leap trail. On the way home, stop by the town of Marshall.
