St. Roch Market is a beautifully renovated indoor market with local vendors, a bar, produce, a bakery, etc. It's worth going to just to be inside and grab a treat.

The Country Club is my favorite place in the city (I'm a member). It has a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna, two bars (indoor and outdoor), a restaurant, and an outdoor grill. Open 10 AM to 1 AM, you might find me here during your stay.

At the foot of Canal St. is Algiers Ferry Terminal which has the aquarium, insectarium, and IMAX theatre and then when you take the ferry to Algiers Point across the Mississippi river you can go to Tout De Suite Café, Crown & Anchor English Pub, Old Point Bar, and you get a great view of the city on your way back.

Take the streetcar to Audubon Park (6823 St. Charles Avenue) for a beautiful ride along St. Charles Avenue then walk through Audubon Park to the Audubon Zoo. After the zoo, go sit in the grass at the Fly to watch ships go by on the Mississippi river. Bring water for this one.

City Park is enormous and has a million things to do including Morning Call for beignets, the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Sculpture Garden, the Botanical Garden, kayak rentals through the park, and hiking through Couturie Forest.

Go get a tattoo at Good Work Tattoos on 3916 St. Claude Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70117. It’s open 12 PM-8 PM, 7 days a week (504.943.0409). It’s one of the best shops in the country and you can be confident in getting a quality tattoo at a fair price from anyone there (Brent is my favorite). The walls are covered in beautiful paintings that were made by the three tattooers that work there and it’s also one of the friendliest, least pretentious tattoo shops you’ll ever go to.
