Everyone who comes to Purbeck has to visit the Square and Compass at Worth Matravers near Swanage at least once, real ales and home pressed cider, no restaurant but homemade pies and pasties. Good to stop off here if you’re walking on the coast path.

The Scott Arms is at Kingston near Corfe Castle and it has amazing views from the top of the hill down towards the castle. The food is really good too including, on a sunny day, their famous Jerkshak Caribbean barbecue.
