I was born in Brooklyn NY and I never thought I would be living in NJ
lol
But I LOVE WNY- West New York. It is a simple place full of foreigners ( mostly Spanish speaking) - It is Safe
The best thing is that the buses run every few minutes from Boulevard East to NYC- right to Port Authority where you can catch so many subways
The bus is a pleasant ride into the city- with breathtaking views on the NYC skyline.
The park along Boulevard East is lovely- great for a walk, jog or bike ride - or just to sit and marvel at the NYC view.
If I could choose anyplace outside NYC to live this would be it.

BUSES to NYC

from 64th Street and Boulevard East- the buses come every 5 or 10 minutes during rush hour and run all night ( after midnight could be every 30 min )
It costs $3.50 - you can pay with cash or get tickets from he machines at Port Authority ( use bus # 128 when you buy a ticket- you can use the ticket for any bus)
It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to NYC Port Authority.

FERRY
also from 64th Street and Boulevard East is a bus that comes every hour on the hour ( 8 AM 9 AM, etc)
it s a free bus
and takes you to the ferry terminal
The Ferry goes to NYC- to a few different places- wither 42nd street or down to the World Trade Center area
it costs $8
