Take yourself on a tour of Martin Luther King Jr’s childhood home, his church, the MLK Center and more! Also some great mom and pop restaurants nearby. Famous Slutty Vegan is nearby too... but be prepared to wait in a loooooong line.

Long Island Coffee- yes- that’s right. Must try! The best house made Bloody Mary that doesn’t taste like V8 with a splash of vodka or a bunch of stuff decorating your glass. Brisket breakfast tacos, homemade biscuits, crazy good french toast- just a great brunch whether you sit at the bar or out in the patio. Be prepared to wait at peak brunch times... my advice? Go midweek and really enjoy this menu

There is a transit system here, MARTA. It’s relatively good- not NY or Chicago but helpful. Just be mindful to know where you’re going, check the train lines before going to platform, be safe always, tuck purses inside your jacket, don’t travel alone at night etc. BE SMART.

If you’re planning to sightsee
Consider a city pass if you are here for a week or so and want to see multiple museums and points of interest. Some passes will even include parking. Also check to see which museums have free days and plan accordingly. Pack snacks and water to avoid costly food purchases at inflated prices.
