Awesome expensive upscale dining. Additionally, they have a deli, market, and bakery. We recommend the deli sandwiches to take on one of your day trips to a local outing.

Pizza, who doesn't love it right! So although I'm American born, I'm 100% Italian and I tend to make my own pizza's and pasta dishes...BUT...when we want a solid pizza and I don't feel like cooking for the fam, this is my go-to pizza joint. And, you can walk to it from our place if you're up for it.

Don't let small down Mammoth fool you on this one. This Von's has great produce, meats, sweets, and a deli. When we just want to stay home and cook, Von's is our go-to. We are always in awe of how they get such great beef and fresh fish so far off the beaten path. If you want to make pizza, they have everything you need including the fresh dough. If we don't feel like cooking and would rather stay home for dinner, we do their fried chicken, or grab a frozen pizza and put it in the oven. Seriously, they will have almost anything you can think of eating. But their booze is expensive. For that we go to Rite-Aid.

Ski Shop
As locals, we know every ski shop in town and we've shopped every ski shop in town. That said, we tend to shop Kittredge almost exclusively. As the ole saying goes, they run a tight ship. We buy our boots, ski's and everything in between from here. They have the best boot fitter in town. His name is Preston. Two years ago he fitted me for boots I bought and skied, and didn't end up liking the fit and he actually allowed me to return them for another pair. The only thing we have found about this store is it's not mountain owned, therefore you can not buy the proprietory gear, such as the hats and beanies.

We love this place for its beer and they actually have good food. We really love the fact it's a block away from our condo and walking there is a breeze. They also have outdoor dining and drinking, with great views.

This is our local pharmacy, booze stop, snacks, and ice cream store. We've forgotten our meds or the kids on occasion and they can fill a script called in, in no time. They still have the good ole Thrifty ice cream. Try their chocolate malted crunch...way good!

Sweet's
I think there is one in every ski resort town, and we're so glad Mammoth has one too! If you have never been, you need to go at least once. If you have been before, then you know they're great no matter the local. How can you not try a carmel apple that tastes like Mom's apple pie at least once in your lifetime.
