This is a charming, renovated old store that sells great souvenirs and local good and also serves chili, hot dogs, hamburgers, and specials daily. Definitely worth a stop!

Pololu is an amazing valley on the north end of the island. Stop in Hawi for coffee, then hike down to the black sand beach. It's a great alternative if you don't have 4wd and can't do Waipio.
