Set in beautiful gardens in the heart of the Chiltern countryside, the Tiggywinkles Visitor Centre is home to some permanent animals who cannot be returned to the wild. So a blind hedgehog or 3-legged deer can live there in near-natural conditions, where they can be health-assessed regularly so they can live out the rest of their lives in safety.
The centre also allows visitors to see the work that Tiggywinkles do first hand and learn about the history of the Hospital, the type of animals they treat and some of the innovative techniques that are employed. Tiggywinkles is less than 7 miles from Upper Farm.

This Palladian gem is frequently featured on screen in the television series Downton Abbey and more recently Dr Thorne.
At 852 feet above sea level is the highest viewpoint in a range of hills called the Chilterns. The 106 acres of the hill once belonged to the Chequers Estate but was handed to the National Trust in 1918 by Lord and Lady Lee of Fareham, the same time the Chequers House was handed to the country as a retreat for the serving prime minister.
