We would recommend a lazy afternoon wandering around the narrow streets and not just the main shopping streets. There are other delights off the beaten track with some amazing architecture and character. The shops are renowned for their individuality and quirkiness. We recommended grabbing a coffee and a cake from Judge's bakery and sitting in the memorial garden opposite or the church garden.

There are other delights off the beaten track with some amazing architecture and character. The shops are renowned for their individuality and quirkiness. Lots going on here - good food stalls and big live music scene in the summer.

Beautifully crafted and landscaped. It is Hasting's largest park at 109 acres. It is a linear space that stretches 2.5 miles from the new town. There is something for everyone here including a cafe, sports with tennis courts and putting, multi-use games area, playgrounds, a pavilion and fishing. There are often events on here and it is great for dog walking.

An independent charitable museum in the old town Rock a Nore district that has artifacts from many ships wrecked in the Channel. Some very historical wreck pieces dating right back to 17th century. Free entry and another great visit for kids with interactive activities.

There is a battlefield trail with wooden carvings that depict Norman and Saxon soldiers. There is so much to see and do on this visit and is a great kids outing. Family ticket of two adults and up to three children is £36.10.

You will have to book for the evening and it is only open toward the end of the week and on weekends. They are dog friendly too.

A quirky pub that brews its own craft ales and has a decent selection of wines and craft gins, but its real gem is its selection of wood-fired pizzas. Relaxing style - don't expect knives and forks, you eat your pizza out of the box with a kitchen paper roll to mop up - however you will not be disappointed!
