By far the most popular hike as it’s a gradual incline and fairly short at 2-2.5 miles on an old carriage road. Good if you have kids with you. Be prepared on the weekends can be very busy. At the top you’ll be rewarded with views of the River valley, and several states. There is also a fire tower at the top, beware of the rattlesnakes sun bathing on the rocky outcrops at the top.

Very popular in the summer. Highest waterfall in NYS. Can be accessed from the bottom on route 23A or from the top at North Lake. Please be mindful of slippery/mossy ledges almost every year someone falls and gets severely hurt. In the last few years there have been major improvements with guard rails and fencing.

Beautiful mostly flat trails located near New Paltz in the Shawungunk ridge. Perfect if you want to check out some good cider places or wineries after. Very nice lake and waterfalls, there is even ice caves all year long at Sams Point. You do have to pay a pretty good amount even for the day.

Best place if your traveling on a holiday weekend and avoid the crowds. The top is Diamond Notch Falls but do yourself a favor and take via Diamond Notch road in lanesville. There will be 1/4 of the foot traffic and amazing views and actual wildlife. This is essentially on the backside of hunter mountain.

Closest walking trail to the Airbnb. It starts at Kingston Point Beach and goes through the new Hutton Brickyards property. It’s very flat and paved with some nice river views.
