Sightseeing
Must-see and do for visitors. From our side of the Rhine, it’s an especially good idea to use Ehrenbreitstein as starting point to explore Koblenz (parking is usually available and inexpensive).
The fort hosts several museums as well as the best views of the Deutsche Eck. Koblenz City is but a cable car ride away.
And while that’s already great for kids, there‘s a big playground for kids as well.

Must-see and do for visitors. From our side of the Rhine, it’s an especially good idea to use Ehrenbreitstein as starting point to explore Koblenz (parking is usually available and inexpensive).

Opening hours are not only seasonal but can also feel somewhat flamboyant at times- but for kids aged 1-6 getting in on a warm summer day will be worth the effort of figuring out their secretive opening hours policy.
The former public pool area has been converted into an aquatic adventure playground, so bring anything you would for swimming plus some sandbox toys as well maybe.
Guests are strongly advised to buy from their stand and not bring their own. I personally found that to be almost tragic, because when I overcame my issues with being patronized and tried it, it was actually quite good. In the context of public outdoor swimming pool catering (aka childhood trauma) it was even great.
