The NDMK fish house sources it product from local fishermen. Halibut, yellowtail, white sea bass, swordfish, etc. Owned by a young local family, the fish house’s sushi rolls and appetizers are on point. Great for lunch and dinner. Also the apparel created by NDMK is awesome and proudly worn by islanders.

Away from the downtown, Buffalo Nickel is a locals favorite. Great menu at a affordable price. Best salsa in town.

Two Harbors is a hidden gem that has been special place for generations of boaters and outdoor enthusiasts. With a large relaxing beach and countless hiking trails, 2harbors is a slice of heaven. One bar, one restaurant, and one general store. Simple. The Catalina Island Company offers an awesome fast topless jet boat that gets travelers from Avalon to 2harbors in 40 minutes. Their ticket booth is on the Green Pier. $15pp each way. The other way is charting a taxi mini-van. Great opportunity to see the interior. About a 70 minute drive.
