Tryavna is our local town. The old part of the town is an architectural reserve with its 140 monuments of the Revival architecture. Wood-carving and icon - painting brought the unfading glory of Tryavna. Now the town of Tryavna continues the traditions of the past producing furniture, woodworks and textiles. Tryavna also enjoys a moderate and healthy climate and is a tourist centre which deserves visiting.

Either a full days walk from the door or drive to Shipka (approx 1 hour drive) and take in both monuments with a 4 hour return walk between the two.

Next to the Dryanovo Monastery, 300m away to the entrance to the cave. The cave is cut in a 25m high vertical limestone rock and is situated at an elevation of 335m.
The cave was declared a natural landmark in 1962. It is also included in the list of the 100 tourist sites of Bulgaria.
Bacho Kiro is an intricate 3,600m long maze of cave rooms and passages.
