This is one of our favorite "go to" places nearby. You can park near the pier in a parking garage and get the parking validated if you eat at the Beach Tacos Restaurant on the end of the Pier. We love to go here and enjoy the scenary and the lovely vibes. Wear your walking shoes and take a walk along the running/walking path in either direction from the pier. Watch kite surfers and surfers and just find a spot to sit and ponder, too.

We have an Amtrak/Metro Train Station about 1 mile away.
Most people use cars to get around southern California. If you don't have a car you can hire an Uber or Lyft driver or rent a car. The Metro and Amtrak train is convenient if you want lovely views going north along the 101 Freeway. South can conveniently take you to the Burbank Airport. We have city busses that transport between Ventura County cities.
