While the view from the bridge is fantastic I recommend parking at the rest area and taking walk towards the south along the rim for a minute. Much clutter and amazing views as well. The trail is very evident from the parking area.

This is a special place for Taosenos. If you’re lucky enough to be here during one of their feast days it’s a very festive place. Otherwise there’s some great craftsmanship and some of the galleries. The water of the Pueblo river is considered a blessing similar to a baptism.

There is fantastic hiking on the trails leading up to the ski Valley as well as the more packed trails to Williams Lake and Wheeler Peak.

Beautiful natural Hot Springs along the Rio Grande. It can be a little dirty sometimes but a lot less so than Black rock Springs. The hike in follows the old stage coach road but you’d never know it unless you look across the other side and see the remnants of the other side of the road.

Spectacular views and hikes. There are multiple options along the Rio grande and the confluence to the red river.

This is the close spot to get to the river. It can be very busy however. If you park on the close side of the bridge there’s a trail off to your right which will take you to some more isolated beaches. This is only a couple miles from the house so it would make a nice bike ride or a very long walk. Additionally if you cross the bridge and take a left and park at the first turn that’s the trail head for Black rock Springs

Arroyo Seco has become a cute little boutique town with a few nice restaurants and Taos Cow ice cream. There’s also a small market and Café there(Sol Food)which is a great place to pick up a few things on your way to and from the ski Valley.
