One of seven munros close to Crieff, at 931 metres, Ben Chonzie is the highest point to the North of Crieff . Experienced walkers can access Ben Chonzie from the East of the Glen Turret dam but it is much more easily walked from tracks to the West.

The 975m high Stuc a' Chroin is one of the "7 Magical Monros you can bag from Crieff" ... and ... if "If you want to bag two Munros on the same day then you can tick off Stuc a Chroin and Ben Vorlich as a double. Go past the Glenturret Distillery (now renamed "The Famous Grouse" ), which uses the Loch Turret water for their single malt, turn left over the cattle grid and climb the steep hill up to the reservoir. Tickets can be bought from the Crieff Angling Club through the Crieff Garden Centre. £6.00 a day from 1st April to 30th September. Fly fishing is also permitted on Sunday fishing but only from 9.00am until sunset.
