A great spot for hiking, biking, fishing, boating, picnicking, and enjoying lovely views. There is a trailhead on the west side of the reservoir that will take you to the top of Horsetooth Rock, named for it's resemblance to the gap between a horse's front teeth.

The Cache la Poudre River runs down from the Rockies and right through downtown Fort Collins. There are many things to do on the river, including: hiking, fishing, whitewater rafting (in season), camping, picnicking etc.

Historic downtown Fort Collins has many great boutique restaurants, bars and shops. Old Town Square has lots of activities to enjoy throughout the year, including outdoor concerts in the warmer months and ice skating in the winter.

Fort Collins has ~30 natural areas that have been preserved for public use. These areas range from prairie to wetland to foothills to mountains. One could stay busy for months seeing them all. Be sure to check hours and conditions before you go, dress for the weather and take water with you, and park only in designated spots...parking enforcement at FCGOV Natural Areas is quite thorough. :)
We recommend Coyote Ridge for a fairly easy walk ending with great views, Riverbend Ponds for river scenery, or Cathy Fromme Prairie for grassland views and bird watching.

Bowling alley, bar & grill, video games and laser tag all under one roof. Prices are a bit high, but it's a fun experience. Call ahead to be sure they don't have leagues playing when you want to bowl.

We love it and often visit for family BBQs.
