This is one of the most popular places to visit on the Costa Blanca. The views from the top looking down to the sea are breathtaking. Good non-slip shoes are recommended. The village looks over the reservoir and dam.

Altea has a very special heart called 'Casco Antiguo'. It is where you will find the two blue-tiled domed church of Nuestra Senora del Consuelo surrounded by narrow white washed houses,cobbled streets, squares, doors, windows and colourful flowers and plants. One can spend hours wandering in and out of the many boutiques and artisan shops and stopping for a drink and tapas in the plethora of bars and restaurants. Definitely a place to get lost in!
