This beautifully appointed cafe just a 5 minute drive South from The Log House, offers a delicious menu for lunch or great coffee and cake for any time of day! During the warmer months, choose to sit in the shade of an apple tree in the orchard to take in the views out across Mawbannas' lush farmland. For those cooler months, inside offers plenty of seating and a cosy wood fire.
For those of you travelling with children, there is a kids menu, colouring books, space to run in the apple orchard and enjoy the play equipment and to top it all off; a large selection of VDL Creamery icecream. That will put smiles on all of your dials!

Sightseeing
Just a 10 minute drive South of The Log House, Dip Falls is a spectacular water fall in Winter.
Though mostly dry during Summer, the reduced volume of water allows for easy viewing of the unique hexagonal,columns of basalt rock form the falls.
The Forest Reserve also showcases The Big Tree. An easy 15 minute walk along a gravel bush road from the falls or a 2 minute drive to view a 62m tall Browntop Stringybark tree with an immense girth of 17m!!

Entrance fees are very reasonable, staff are super friendly and the animals are quite clearly very loved and well cared for. Tarkine Animal Park offers good old fashioned, wholesome entertainment for the entire family. Purchase animal feed at the door.
