Sweet little French place open for breakfast and lunch - omelettes, crepes, potatoes au gratin - yum. We always sit on the patio. Quiet live music for brunch on the weekends. Much more than coffee.

My local place because it's in walking distance -- over the walk bridge, through the school parking lot and go right! Small and quiet. You can grab a sandwich here, too.

Good Indian, within a 10 minute walk. Never crowded because most of their business is take out. Nice tables so it can be a quiet place for some Aloo Gobi and Garlic Naan.

Love this place for breakfast or lunch (they serve dinner too). Fresh and healthy ingredients, vegan options available. Another good walk destination (over the walk bridge, past the schools and go left!)

Unless you are from Nepal, many of these dishes will be new to you, e.g., goat meat stew! Some more recognizable Indian dishes. Large buddha head at the back of the place and plenty of fabric wall hangings make this place pretty cozy.

Very popular hike up to the lookout. Park on Jefferson and you'll see the trail head. I drive half way up and walk the rest of the way -- the real troopers start on Jefferson.

For me, this is a must see. Just up the 405 freeway, the building itself, the gardens and grounds, the art, the food, and the views are all worth the short trip from Culver City. Parking is $10 (or $15?) but the museum itself is free. You park at the bottom of the hill and take a tram up to the museum.

A great place to spend an afternoon. A very wide range of art periods and styles, music on some evenings, places to eat, interesting grounds (a "levitating mass", the LaBrea Tar Pits). Worth the trip over.
