Druids Temple itself boasts history and intrigue, believed to have been built in the 1700's, it has a main temple and multiple stone formations accompanied by fantastic views across moorland and Leighton reservoir.

Fountains Abbey is 15miles drive and takes around 30minutes.
The ruins are the largest monastic ruins in the country. Founded in 1132 the Abbey operated for a total of 407 years and became one of the wealthiest monasteries in the country.
The grounds are also host to a water garden which was designed in the 18th century and the garden is known around the world, receiving heritage status in 1986.
There is also a restaurant/café and a shop, perfect for a relaxing rest and a bite to eat.

The brewery was established by Paul Theakston in 1992. He broke away from the family business, Theakston Brewery (also in masham), when it was sold to a national company. He used old reclaimed equipment to start from scratch and start ‘The Black Sheep Brewery’.
The brewery run tours and have their own bistro/restaurant which serves food lunchtime and evenings. I recommend looking at the website for opening times etc as they can change (https://www.blacksheepbrewery.com/).
I recommend doing the brewery tour and then enjoying a selection of there finest ale.
