Landmarks

Declared a Historic-Artistic Monument, the Cathedral of Mallorca is the most emblematic artistic heritage of the Balearic Islands. "La Seu", as it is popularly known, is one of the most admired Gothic temples in the world and, without doubt, is a must on any trip to Mallorca. At certain times of the year, inside the "Seu" you can enjoy a spectacular light phenomenon. Specifically, it occurs twice a year (on February 2nd and November 11th). On those days, the sunlight passes through the main rose window and its reflection is projected on the wall in front, so that, for a short period of time, it is reflected one on the other, forming a double rose window: one of glass and one of light.

A railway from the beginning of the 20th century that uses period machines active since 1912 and makes a beautiful journey that literally crosses our Serra de Tramuntana (World Heritage by UNESCO). The excursion can be completed with the first and last electric tram in Mallorca to reach Port de Sóller. The route is expensive, so we recommend taking it one way to visit Sóller and the Port de Sóller, for the return trip it is ideal to take a bus to visit Deià and then another to visit Valldemossa.

Ses Fonts Ufanes are a group of natural springs that spring up with great intensity from the subsoil after intense rains in autumn or winter. This natural phenomenon takes place when the aquifer under Puig Tomir and its surroundings absorbs too much water and makes its way to the surface, which happens very rarely every year. If we want to see them we must be attentive to the news after intense rains in the island. They are located in the Gabelli Petit public estate in a pleasant rural setting in the municipality of Campanet. If you are coming from Palma, take exit 37 of the motorway to Sa Pobla/St.Miquel/Coves. At the roundabout take the third exit towards Camí de na Pontons, taking the Ermita de Sant Miquel as a reference. You can park your car near the chapel.

Toque de Queda is a place in the heart of Palma, very close to La Rambla, where you can eat tapas, salads and some fantastic charcuterie, served with foccaccia bread and brown bread. They also offer toasts with glass bread. In addition, there is a select variety of cava, champagne, cold cuts and wine. It is located in the old Forn Cremat, one of the oldest in Palma documented in the 14th and 15th centuries. In 2009 it closed its doors until March 8, 2014 when it reopened as "Toque de Queda". This establishment has three rooms and a cozy terrace. They preserve many original elements and tools of the old "forn" that are part of the decoration and furniture. In addition to different restored furniture, sofas, shelves, chairs... different accessories and elements that will make you feel at home.

Yucatecan cuisine is born from the fusion of Mayan and Hispanic cuisine in Mexico. An amalgam of flavors that is made in this restaurant. Nachos with guacamole is the best way to start tasting the flavors of Mexico. Followed by some tacos, I recommend Suadero and Gringa. The Cochinita pibil is one of the house specialties, as well as the different tacos al pastor, de cochinita yucateca or asada. It takes advantage to savor Mexican beers (I recommend the "Allende" that has agave) and it is concluded with authentic tequila and an elaborated margarita of Tamarindo.

With its excellent food, attentive staff, an incredible wine list and the best pizza makers, Pizzeria IL TANO is a must for anyone looking for an authentic Italian experience in Mallorca. From the classic to the special, the ingenious and exclusive pizza menu reflects the creative style and Italian culinary heritage of founder and owner Alessandro Leo. Honestly, I haven't found a place where pizzas taste better, not even in Italy itself.

Beaches

Its turquoise waters, its bright white sand and its atmosphere have made it one of the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca. Its wonderful appearance makes it the closest thing to a piece of the Caribbean in the middle of the Mediterranean, with the archipelago of Cabrera in the background. It is one of the virgin beaches most preferred by nudists and naturists.

Sa Calobra is an impressive set of two beaches sheltered between steep rocky cliffs, and divided by the Torrent de Pareis (a river gorge) on the northwest coast of the island. It is quite difficult to reach Sa Calobra. I recommend using one of the ferries that leave from Port de Soller. You can also get there by car or bus along an extremely winding road, not at all suitable for those who tend to get seasick, but from which you can enjoy spectacular views.

The fresh water pond of s'Amarador, the salt water pond of Fonts de n'Alis, the endless sandy beaches or the rocky areas of the cliffs. Cala Mondragó is one of the best blue flag beaches in Mallorca. It remains clean and relatively discreet, with its bathers respecting its natural beauty and ecological responsibility status.
