Just a short 30 minute drive north on I 26 you will find our treasured man made Lake Murray. over 650 miles of shoreline with several islands. If you rent a boat you can enjoy waterside eateries, fishing, view the Purple Martin phenomenon in July as well as read about the history of Bomb island.
The Dam is open to the public and a great 4 mile exercise path if you walk across and back. State park for swimming and cook outs is also located on the Lexington side of the dam.
