Getting around

From the Cottage, turn left outside the white gate. After walking 50 yds, turn left again , walk up the lane and you will see a five bar gate into the field. From there you can see the Castle and the church on your left. You can walk down across the field to the village and the castle. Alternatively, you can turn right outside the Cottage gate and walk down the main road to the village centre. Entrance to the Castle is just by the National Trust shop. There are four very good Pubs around the village. ( one being The Castle Inn opposite the Cottage). They all have lovely gardens .
