The coast is said to be the most beautiful in the East where the contrast between the 7km white sandy beach and the highly transparent emerald green sea is impressive. It is also famous as the starting point of the annual triathlon Miyakojima tournament. 7kmにわたって続く白い砂浜と透明度の高いエメラルドグリーンの海とのコントラストが印象的な東洋一美しいともいわれる海岸。毎年開催されているトライアスロン宮古島大会のスタート地点としても有名。

Covered all year round by the “heavenly plum blossoms” (a natural monument of the prefecture), the beautiful early spring when the lily of the valley blooms. You can see the East China Sea to the north and the Pacific Ocean to the south. 県内でも有数な景勝地で日本都市公園百選の認定を受ける。雄大な紺碧の海が２キロ続く。年中”天の梅群生落”（県の天然記念物）におおわれ、特にテッポウユリが咲く春先が美しい。北に東シナ海、南に太平洋を望むことができる。 国の史跡名勝天然記念物に指定されました。

An observatory that looks like Ryugu Castle on the hill of Kurima Island. It is a three-story building with breathtaking views of the beautiful ocean that stretches out in front of you. You can also overlook Maehama Beach and Irabu Island on the opposite shore where the white sand beach continues. 来間島の高台にある竜宮城をかたどった展望台。三階建てで、目の前に広がる美しい海の眺望は息を飲むほど。白い砂浜が続く対岸の前浜ビーチや伊良部島なども一望できる。
