Take a drive south past Daytona Beach to this family friendly marine science center. Pet a Manta Ray, and see the turtle hospital. Local birds on display and nice trails. Ponce Inlet also has an awesome lighthouse you can climb to see a panoramic view of the area.

This is a must do day trip. Get there early, pack a lunch in a small cooler and rent a canoe. Takes 2-3 hours but it is beautiful! It's like canoeing through a jungle with crystal clear water. See otters, birds, deer and even alligators. Recommend Ages 8 and up for the canoe run but the park area with the spring pool is great for everyone!
