Located just east of Marianna, Merritt’s Mill Pond is a 202-acre spring-fed reservoir fed mostly by one spring.
Blue Spring or Jackson Blue is a first magnitude spring discharging over 75 million gallons of crystal clear spring water every day. A great place to spend a day in, on, and around the water with several smaller spring heads to explore.
World-class fishing. Merritt’s Mill Pond is renowned for its trophy redear (shellcracker) fishing. The pond currently holds the State record for shellcracker at 4.86 pounds and until recently held the world record fish.

We enjoyed our relaxing visit learning about the grove and the olives. The tasting room is a great experience primarily for the tasting and the food pairings but the decor and style is really a fantastic compliment to the experience.
Can't make it to the grove? They have a food truck that travels locally to places like the Marianna Green Market.
Green Gate Olive Grove
4767 US 90We enjoyed our relaxing visit learning about the grove and the olives. The tasting room is a great experience primarily for the tasting and the food pairings but the decor and style is really a fantastic compliment to the experience.
Can't make it to the grove? They have a food truck that travels locally to places like the Marianna Green Market.
This is a rare chance to have in person encounters with wolves. It does require reservations and you canspend several hours. We took in the whole experience including pictures with the wolves (the wolves LOVE people with facial hair and I have the slobber as evidence) entering both the Grey Wolf and the Arctic Wolf enclosures to learn and interact with the wolves. Don't miss the foxes and raccoons and other small animals in their own enclosure...

Locally-owned brewery housed in 1900s Era Bank building.
The beer is great and they have a really nice outside area with a small stage, food truck most nights.
Owners and staff are always willing to share a bit about the brewery and are just authentic, nice people.
Less than 15 minutes from our property makes this a must stop for me every time in town.
